Air Liquide Acquires Scientific and Technical Gases Ltd.

Air Liquide announced today the acquisition of UK-based Scientific and Technical Gases Ltd. (“StG”), a global supplier of calibration and specialty gases and equipment.

StG – founded in 1996 – manufactures gases and related equipment for a variety of uses, including: gas detection and safety, laboratory and analytical, environmental monitoring, process systems monitoring, gas quality monitoring, and breath test analysis. The company owns and operates two manufacturing facilities in the UK and serves customers worldwide through distribution operations based in the United States, Brazil, Australia, Singapore, Dubai and Shanghai.

Air Liquide, with its US-based subsidiary, Calgaz, is the recognized global leader in calibration gas mixtures and equipment. The acquisition of StG enables Air Liquide to strengthen its position in the global calibration and specialty gases market, boosting its production and distribution capabilities worldwide. Meet the MPs

Chris Street attended a "Meet the MPs" session st the Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce.  Attending was Joan Walley (MP for Stoke-on-Trent North), Rob Flello (MP for Stoke-on-Trent South), Jeremy Lefroy (MP for Stafford) and Paul Farrelly (MP for Newcastle-Under-Lyme).  Issues discussed were HS2, MP's activities.  Chris Street again asked for clarification on the possibility of the lifting of Finacial Sanctions with some countries in the Middle East.

Paul Farelly will be visiting StG on Friday 21st March 2014.


Thanks to Doncaster Rovers

Many thanks to Doncaster Rovers FC.  Paul Dickov (Doncaster Manager) invited Chris Street and family to Doncaster Rovers vs Middlesbrough last Saturday.  After giving a behind the scene tour, Chris's son Alex led Middlesbrough out with the team. 

The game ended in an honourable 0-0 draw.  Many thanks to Paul and the staff at Doncaster Rovers FC.


Chris Street meets with Lord Livingston

Chris Street met with Lord Livingston at the Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce.  Lord Livingston was appointed Minister of State for Trade and Investiment on 11th December 2013.  Chris rasied the issue of sanctions for the Middle East and asked for some idea as to when we can realistically expect sanctions to be eased, allowing trade with the Europe and USA.
